Smartphone brand Infinix, on Tuesday (February 6, 2006) in Mumbai, launched a new selfie-centric smartphone called Infinix Hot S3, with advanced selfie-centric features. With the launch of Hot S3, Infinix brought the global HOT S series to India. The launch event was held in Mumbai and to spice up things, the entire Mumbai City Football Club team was invited by Infinix. The brand Infinix entered the Indian market in August, last year, and till now has launched three smartphones (excluding the newly launched Hot S3) and they are; Infinix Note 4, Infinix Hot Pro 4 and Infinix Zero5. The newly launched Hot S3 comes with a 20 Megapixel low-light selfie camera with a dual flash feature. Let us take a look at the smartphone below.
Features & Specifications
To get things going, Infinix Hot S3 comes with a 5.65" Inch HD+ Full view display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen to body percentage is said to be 81% and comes with NEG glass protection. Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor and Adreno 505 GPU. There are two memory options available; 3GB RAM + 32GB storage & 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The Infinix Hot S3 comes with a dedicated microSD slot, along with dual sim slots. The microSD card slot supports microSD cards up to 128GB. The phone measures 8.4mm in thickness and weigh over 150 grams.
Infinix Hot S3 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and comes with a fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, G-sensor, compass etc. You get a 4000 mAh battery under the hood, which Infinix claims, to last two days with normal usage.
Camera
The main highlight feature of Hot S3 is the 20 Megapixel front-facing selfie camera, it is a Sony IMX 376 sensor and comes with a 5P lens. The front camera has f/2.0 aperture and supports features like bokeh effect, wide-angle selfie, time lapse etc. You also get a dual-led front-facing flash to enhance your selfies in low-light conditions. The rear camera is a 13 Megapixel sensor with phase-detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and dual led flash.
Availability
Infinix Hot S3 is available in two colors; Sandstone Black and Brush Gold. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs.8,999 INR and the 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs.10,999 INR. The smartphone will be exclusively available via Flipkart, starting February 12, 2006.
