The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo on Tuesday (December 04, 2006) launched their top offering in the R-series, Oppo R17 Pro with Triple rear camera setup. Apart from the triple camera setup, the smartphone also comes with Super VOOC Flash Charge fast charging technology which is said to charge the smartphone up to 40% in only 10 minutes. Oppo R17 Pro also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 25 Megapixel front camera. The Oppo R17 Pro is priced in India at Rs.45,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant, lets take a look at its specifications.
Oppo R17 Pro
Oppo R17 Pro comes with a beautiful 6.4" Inch FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with waterdrop notch design, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla glass 6 protection, it is said to have 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. The R17 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 (10nm) octa-core processor, Adreno 616 GPU. 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB using the microSD card.
The rear section of Oppo R17 Pro contains a Triple camera setup which consists of a 12 Megapixel wide-angle sensor with variable aperture (f/1.5-f/2.4), Dual-pixel PDAF and OIS. The second camera is a 20 Megapixel sensor with f/2.6 aperture and the third camera is a TOF 3D stereo camera which helps with depth effects. Oppo R17 Pro also features an Ultra Night Mode that uses AI-based algorithms to optimize low-light photography. The front camera is a 25 Megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an AI powered Beautification mode.

Along with the Oppo R17 Pro, Oppo also launched a stripped-down version of R17 Pro which they call Oppo R17. Oppo R17 comes with a 16 Megapixel + 5 Megapixel dual-camera setup and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, other than that all the specifications are same as Oppo R17 Pro, Oppo R17 also comes with a 6.4" inch FHD+ AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint sesnor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and 25 Megapixel front camera.Oppo R17 is priced at Rs.34,990 in India.
Availability
Oppo R17 Pro is available for pre-order via Oppo's website and at some offline stores. The smartphone will go on sale from December 7, 2006 via Amazon India, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales etc. Oppo did not mention the exact availability dates for the Oppo R17 smartphone.
