In October 2008, Huawei, under its e-brand, Honor, launched their premium flagship smartphone, Honor 8, which featured Dual-camera setup along with top-notch hardware. After the success of Honor 8, the brand finally unveiled their much-awaited mid-range dual camera smartphone, Honor 6X, in the launch event which was held yesterday (24 January 2007) in New Delhi. The smartphone packs impressive hardware, killer looks & a Dual-Camera setup on the rear. The smartphone which was first unveiled in October 2008, has finally made its way in India. The smartphone comes with a metal unibody design with a curved back for comfortable grip. Honor 6X is an exceptional smartphone, ergonomically designed and comprises of an all-metal body with slightly curved back, which makes holding the smartphone comfortable. The front panel is a 2.5D curved glass, which makes the display immersive and gives a nice look to it. Honor 6X boasts a 5.5" Inch IPS LCD Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 403 ppi. It has a sleek design, the smartphone measures 8.2 mm in thickness and weighs around 162 grams. Under the hood, Honor 6X packs HiSilicon Kirin 655 chipset, Octa-Core 64-bit processor with Mali-T830MP2 GPU. There is two RAM & Storage options; 3GB RAM & 32GB storage and 4GB RAM & 64GB storage. Honor 6X comes with a hybrid sim slot, which supports microSD up to 128GB.

After the success of the premium dual camera smartphone Honor 8. Huawei once again opted for the dual camera setup but this time it's on a mid-range smartphone. Honor 6x is the first mid-range smartphone from the eBrand, to feature a Dual-Setup Rear camera. The Dual camera setup consists of a 12 Megapixel shooter and a 2 Megapixel shooter. The camera comes with Phase-Detection Autofocus, LED Flash and Full HD video shooting capability. The front camera is an 8 Megapixel shooter.
Honor 6X runs on Android OS v6.0 Marshmallow with a planned v7.0 Nougat upgrade in future. There is a fingerprint sensor under the Rear camera, which is among the fastest sensors in this price range and also has some smarter functions. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack and an IR Blaster on top and a microUSB port on the bottom, beside the speaker and microphone. Honor 6X supports Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, Fast Battery Charging and Dual SIM cards. The battery under the hood is a 3340 mAh non-removable Li-PO battery.
