A couple of months ago, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo, launched their rear Dual-camera setup smartphone V5 in India. At the Vivo V5 launch event, the Vivo V5 Plus with 20 Megapixel Front Dual-Camera setup was announced. Yesterday, Vivo finally unveiled the V5 plus in a launch event which was held in New Delhi. The Vivo V5 plus looks promising, the smartphone is priced at Rs.27,980 and will be available for pre-booking starting January 24, and the first sale will happen on 1st February.
Vivo V5 Plus: Technical Specifications
On first look, Vivo V5 Plus looks quite similar to Vivo V5, except for minor changes in design. The rear portion the Vivo V5 Plus looks quite similar to the iPhone 7 design, thanks to the U-shaped antenna design, the rest of the design is similar to V5. The main USP of V5 Plus is the front Dual Camera setup which helps you achieve perfect bokeh effects and amazing depth-of-field selfies with sharp faces & blurred background. Vivo V5 Plus measures 7.3 mm in thickness and weighs around 159 grams. The display is a 5.5" Inch IPS LCD Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, screen to body ratio of 74% and pixel density of 401 ppi. The display comes topped with 2.5D curved glass and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection makes it super resistant to scratches. The smartphone packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, Octa-Core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 64-bit processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Vivo V5 Plus comes with 4GB RAM & 64GB Internal storage. MicroSD card is supported up to 256GB, but it occupies SIM slot 2. The smartphone comes with microUSB v2.0 port and supports OTG.
Vivo V5 Plus is the first smartphone from the brand to feature Dual-Front camera setup, the first one is a 20 Megapixel shooter and the second one is an 8 Megapixel shooter (20 MP + 8 MP), f.2.0 aperture and 1/2.8" sensor size. The front camera is capable of shooting Full HD 1080p videos. The rear camera is a 16 Megapixel shooter, which comes with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus, LED Flash and 4K video shooting (2160p@30fps). The home button also contains the fingerprint sensor, which according to Vivo, can unlock the device in about 0.2 seconds. The updated fingerprint recognition technology allows you to access your favorite apps, just by tapping the sensor twice. The smartphone comes with the custom built AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip, which delivers amazing audiophile-grade sound quality. there is a 3.5 mm audio jack next to the charging port. The software comes with Smart Split screen feature which allows you to multitask without switching between apps.
