After nearly five months of the announcement, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 finally made its way to India. The smartphone was launched in three different variants, starting at Rs.9,999 for the base variant and going up to Rs.12,999 for the top-most variant. The smartphone will be exclusively available via Flipkart in India and will go on sale 12 pm onwards starting January 23, 2007. The three variants, in which the Redmi Note 4 was launched are; 2GB RAM & 32GB Storage variant, 3GB RAM & 32GB storage variant and finally a 4GB RAM & 64GB storage variant. All three variants will be available starting January 23, and you don't need to pre-register for the sale. Let us take a look at the specifications below.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4: Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes in an all-metal design, quite similar to the predecessor Redmi Note 3. The Redmi Note 4 is slightly thinner than at 8.4 mm but weighs a bit more at 175 grams, as compared to the Redmi Note 3. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a Dual Sim smartphone and comes with a hybrid sim slot, which can either house a Micro Sim + a Nano Sim or a MicroSD card + Sim card. It supports MicroSD card up to 128GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5" Inch IPS Full HD Display of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. The smartphone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 chipset with an Octa-Core processor and Adreno 506 GPU. As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 4 will come in three RAM & Storage variants; 2GB RAM + 32GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, topped with MIUI 8.0, which is a custom UI by Xiaomi.
The rear camera is a 13 Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus, Dual LED flash (dual-tone) and Full HD 1080p video recording capability at 30 frames per second. The smartphone also supports 720p recording at 120fps. The front camera is a 5 Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 720p video recording capability. The rear portion also contains the fingerprint sensor, which is said to be among the fastest ones in the market right now. Connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Micro-USB, and IR blaster. The battery underneath is a 4100 mAh non-removable battery.
The Chinese version of Redmi Note 4 came with MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset with Deca-core 2.1 GHz processor and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, but the brand decided to go for Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in India.
Price & Availability
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be available in India, starting January 23, 2007 (Monday) exclusively via Flipkart from 12 pm onwards. The 2GB RAM & 32GB storage variant has been priced at Rs.9,999, The 3GB RAM & 32GB storage variant has been priced at Rs.10,999 and finally the 4GB RAM & 64GB storage variant has been priced at Rs.12,999.
