Evidson Audio launched their latest Audioware B2 earphones in India three weeks ago, you must've read our story back then. The B2 earphones boast of an elegant design which looks premium as well as rugged. According to Evidson, Audioware B2 earphones are crafted from a lightweight metal alloy with a combination of glossy & matte finish and are capable of delivering a power packed performance when plugged in. Today we'll be taking a look at the new Evidson Audiowear B2 earphones, we've been using it for more than a week now and feel that its time to share our experience with you through this write-up.
Before we begin, we'd like to put down our earphone-testing procedure, so that you can get a better idea about the tests we did & the results we obtained, let's go ahead.
Testing Procedure: To ensure that I can test the earphones on their uppermost limit, I used high-quality audio files & Lossless formats. For MP3's, I used 320KBPS files and for Lossless formats, I used FLAC & WAV files. To squeeze out the best performance out of them, I used custom equalizer settings & tweaked them throughout to test their extreme capability. For mobile listening, I used custom music player (Poweramp) to get more control over the output & to boost the performance. On Laptop, I used iTunes music player & VLC player. Throughout, I used high-quality music files and also tested them on different phones.
Unboxing
Evidson Audiowear B2 earphones come in a simple plastic box, similar to the Audioware R5 earphones box. The top half is transparent, through which you can have a sneak-peek at the B2 earphones. The box contains the earphones and some extra ear tips, along with a pair of foam tips. There was no warranty card or user manual, just two pairs of different size silicone ear tips, a pair of foam tips and finally the earphones with Medium sized ear tips installed. Design, Quality & Comfort
Evidson Audiowear B2 sports a metal alloy design with a combination of glossy & matte finish which makes the housing look stylish. The earphones weigh 14 grams and are quite comfortable for long period usage, you won't feel them when wearing, thanks to the lightweight. The housing is labeled with 'L' and 'R' markings so that you can put them in the correct ears, the top section of the housing contains Evidson branding.
The main highlight part of Evidson Audiowear B2 (in my opinion) is the cable. The cable of Audiowear B2 looks durable, comes in standard 1.2 meters length and is tangle resistant. According to Evidson Audio, the cable used on B2 is a heavy duty thermoplastic elastomers cable, which is stronger than regular earphone cables and can go through rough usage without getting damaged easily. Unlike Evidson Audiowear R5, the B2 does not come with a microphone and that was disappointing, since the B2 are priced much more than the R earphones. The Audiowear B2 earphones come with standard 3.5 mm audio jack, so you can easily plug them into most devices.

Coming to the performance section, Evidson Audiowear B2 performs well enough for the price but lacked some detail. We tested them extensively for a week (the testing procedure is mentioned above) using different devices and different audio formats, they performed decently throughout. The midrange was pretty good, the vocals were clear & crisp. The bass was really good, it was punchy and complimented the mid range. The highs were decent, the earphones sounded good when we played EDM tracks, classic rock songs, and modern-day pop songs. The sound was acoustically clean with a good amount of bass and mids.
Evidson Audiowear B2 might not be the best earphones available in the market, but they're definitely one of the best available in this price segment, that too from an Indian brand. I agree, they lack some detail when it comes to sound, but the performance could be improved by tweaking the equalizer slightly. We recommend experimenting with different ear tips sizes to see which one fits perfectly & provide better noise isolation.

Verdict
Thumbs up to Evidson, they are doing a great job bringing high-quality audio products in affordable price range, Audiowear B2 is a live example. At a price tag of Rs.1,299, the B2 is a perfect choice for EDM lovers. The earphone are solid in build quality, the housing design makes them stand out, the glossy & matte finish on the housing compliments the looks and make them attractive. The B2 earphones are very light in weight and comfortable when wearing them for long periods. They isolate the noise better than many other earphones, make sure you are using proper size silicone ear tips. The cable looks and feels strong, good for people who like to shove their earphones in their jeans pockets or backpacks, no matter what, they won't get damaged easily. Above all that, the cable is tangle resistant and quite durable. The audio performance was also up to the mark, keeping the price in mind, the lows & mids were great, the highs were decent and overall the sound quality was satisfying.

Evidson Audiowear B2 are good, if not the best, but they do are one of the best choices in this price range. I'll recommend them to EDM lovers who are looking for good quality budget earphones.
