The documentary film based on South Korean K-Pop boy group BTS was finally released in India, after about 10 day delay from the rest of the world. The documentary-style movie is based on their ‘Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour' of BTS, which was first originally released on YouTube Red as an 8 episode documentary series called Burn The Stage. Later the show was made into a movie called Burn The Stage: The Movie and came with lots of unseen footage and more stuff. Before I begin with how my experience was, I would like to clear it to my readers that I'm not a BTS fan (as of yet) and I only went to watch the movie to experience the concert feel on the big screen, and yes I do listen to some of the K-Pop bands but BTS ain't one of them, however my mind did change after watching the movie.

The movie Burn The Stage provides an intimate glimpse into the life of BTS and its members, through in-depth interviews, behind the scenes footage, backstage clips etc. The band comprises of seven members and their stage names are; V, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, RM, Jungkook and Suga. Burn The Stage Movie was supposed to be released in India on November 15 2006 along with the rest of the world, but due to some certification issue it got delayed and was finally released on November 25, 2006 in over 45 cities with new cities being added every day.
My Experience watching Burn the Stage
I got to experience the film on the day of its release in Mumbai at INOX Inorbit Mall in Malad (West) suburb. It was a 4 PM show on November 25th and to my surprise the theater was full of Indian BTS fans or ARMY as they like to call themselves. The atmosphere outside the theater almost felt like of a concert, and that too a huge one. People were chanting, cheering the band name, singing their songs and doing other crazy stuff. Even during the movie, the fans were cheering and applauding on every scene.

Coming to the movie, I think it was shot very well especially the concert scenes which looked amazing on the big screen. The backstage footage helped in experiencing a small piece of what the band goes through behind the curtains and what it takes to put on a really great show. The exclusive in-depth interviews helped the fans to connect with the band even more and understand their mind and how they feel.
The other thing which I liked about the film was the songs, even though I didn't understand a word being said but the music was quite catchy and melodious, I'll definitely add some of their songs to my playlist after I'm done writing this article. The language used in the movie is Korean, but English subtitles are provided for non-Korean speaking fans. My overall experience was good and looking at the reaction of the fans present there, I feel that BTS fans / ARMY will definitely enjoy the movie.
